DAY01:

Leave Beijing early in the morning to drive to Cuandixia.
Spend the whole day wandering the village whose history dates back some 600 years. An interesting feature of this village is its 500 houses built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Many are built in the courtyard style where four families share an inner courtyard.

The village is popular with photographers and painters. The surrounding mountain area is popular with hikers.
Travel back to Beijing in the afternoon.
