DAY02:

Drive onto the steppe, while avoiding its herds of cattle. Mount Khogno Khaan is in the middle of the steppe and boasts an astonishing variety of landscapes: mountains, meadows, dunes, lakes and wild swans. Arrive at your camp and rest a little. In the afternoon, visit the small Erdene Khamba Buddhist temple. Travel by foot, horseback or by camel in the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, called the mini Gobi desert, at the foot of Khogno Khaan. Spend the night in a comfortable yurt.

Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia founded in 1586 by Altai Khaan. Stop off at the Kul-Teginii Monument, a stone inscription which shows evidence of the dominance of the Turkic sultanate in the sixth to eighth centuries. Spend the night in a comfortable yurt.

DAY04:

KHOGNO KHAAN - HUSTAI - DUGANA
Depart for Hustai to explore a nomadic camp, where nomads explain their daily lives. Receive a traditional welcome to the camp with a bowl of milk. Learn about keeping camels and yaks.
