DAY01:

MAUMERE
Arrive in Maumere by plane. Explore Maumere to discover unique vegetation, traditional dances and how the villagers weave the traditional ikat cloth. Spend the night in Maumere.

DAY02:

MAUMERE - MONI
Observe everyday life for the inhabitants of Flores with visits to markets, fishing villages and mountain villages on your way to Moni. Spend the night in Moni.

DAY03:

MONI - KELIMUTU - BOAWAE
Depart early in the morning to reach the top of Kelimutu volcano and enjoy the sunrise over its famous three lakes of different colors, a unique phenomenon which is still unexplained. Drive to the southern beaches to enjoy the black sand and blue pebbles. Finally arrive at Boawae where the backdrop is the beautiful Mount Ebulobo. Spend the night in Boawae.

DAY04:

BOAWAE - RIUNG
Learn about the Nagekeo ethnic group. Admire the Inerie volcano, a pyramid shape which rises 2,245 metres above the ground. Then on to Riung, a small fishing village where you will start your journey to The 17 Islands National Park. Spend the night in Riung.

DAY05:

RIUNG – THE 17 ISLANDS - BAJAWA
Explore The 17 Islands National Park. The area was named after the date of Indonesia’s Independence, August 17, not the number of islands, which totals more than twenty. Discover colonies of bats in the trees. Take a boat ride through the islands. Try diving or snorkeling to discover the beautiful coral. Cool off by swimming in the clear water. Continue to Bajawa and if time permits, stop at the hot springs of Mangeruda. Spend the night in Bajawa.

DAY06:

BAJAWA - RANAMESE - RUTENG
Explore Bajawa, which is home to the Ngadha people. Learn more about the matrilineal culture where women inherit property. Enjoy the mountain scenery before heading back to Ruteng, by the shores of Lake Ranamese. Spend the night in Ruteng.

DAY07:

RUTENG - CARA - LABUAN BAJO - RINCA - KALONG
Take a morning walk through the Ruteng Nature Conservation Park to hear the chorus of the native Ngkiong bird. Visit a nearby active volcano. Continue to Labuan Bajo, with a stop at the village of Cara, famous for its amazing spider-web rice fields. On arrival in Labuan Bajo, begin the cruise among the islands of Komodo. Depart for Rinca Island, where you can see the unique Komodo Dragons. Continue to Kalong Island, where you spend the night. With a little luck, you will arrive in time to see the hundreds of fruit bats of the island seeking their dinner. Spend the night on Kalong Island.

DAY08:

KALONG - MAKASSAR - SERAYA - BIDARI
Depending on the season, you can head to Makassar Island to swim with the manta rays. Continue to the island of Seraya, where you learn about the bagan style of traditional fishing with its bamboo structures erected over the open sea. Depart for Bidari Island which boasts the whitest sands and clearest water of the archipelago. Spend the night in Bidari.

DAY09:

BIDARI - LABUAN BAJO
Return to Labuan Bajo and transfer to the airport for a flight to your next destination.
