DAY01:

Drive for an hour to the Silver Mountain scenic area which is located 60 kilometres north of Beijing in Changping District.

Over four imperial dynasties - the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing – pagoda tombs were built for important monks in the Pagoda Forest. Their sizes vary from about one metre to 12 metres. Some pagodas were built into the walls of temples, others at the foot of the mountain.

Take a short hike up the mountain to the Bell Pavilion to see a special view of the pagodas from above.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Beijing in the afternoon.
