DAY01:

WUYISHAN
Arrive in Wuyishan. Wuyishan is known for its mountain scenery and tea industry. It is regarded as the birthplace of Chinese Oolong and Black Tea. Spend the night in Wuyishan.

DAY02:

WUYISHAN
Take a bamboo raft trip on the Nine Bend River, drifting down clear blue water past 36 extraordinary peaks. Visit Water Curtain Cave which boasts two enormous waterfalls. Spend the night in Wuyishan.

DAY03:

WUYISHAN - XIAMEN
Fly to Xiamen. Learn about the long history of this treaty port through its main attractions. Take a 25 minute ferry ride to Gulangyu Island. Relax on this unique island which was settled by Europeans and to this day, still does not have any cars. Stroll the streets and visit historic attractions such as the piano museum and western style gardens. Spend the night in Xiamen.

DAY04:

XIAMEN - CHONGWU - HUIAN - QUANZHOU
Drive down the Fujian coast to Chongwu. Visit the ramparts of the Chongwu Old Fortess, a walled city dating back to the late 14th century. Explore the lives of women in Hui'an and see their colourful traditional costumes. Spend the night in Quanzhou.

DAY05:

QUANZHOU - YONG'AN
Take a leisurely road trip through the Fujian countryside, observing how villagers go about their daily life. Spend the night in Yong’An.

DAY06:

YONG'AN
Be introduced to the tulou building style at Huanyulou and Zhengchenglou. Support the local Hakka families by sampling the local varieties of tea and purchase gift of tea as souvenirs. Eat a traditional Hakka meal with a family. Spend a night in a tulou guesthouse.

DAY07:

YONG'AN - XIAMEN
Visit the Chengqilou cluster, the King of Tulous, where 300 people still live in a large complex of apartments. Be introduced to the unique structure of the tulou buildings at Zhangzhou Tianluokeng village where you can see the Four Plates and One Soup tulous. Spend the night in Xiamen.

DAY08:

XIAMEN
Drive to the airport and catch a flight to your next destination.
