DAY01:

XIDI
Arrive at Huangshan Airport. Take a pleasant journey through the hills covered with tea plantations, rice fields and bamboo groves to Xidi Village. See a performance of Huangmei Opera and sample the distinctive tea varieties grown in the region. Spend the night in Huangshan.

DAY02:

XIDI - MUKENG - HONGCUN
Drive to the village of Mukeng. Take a hike through an enchanting bamboo forest. Enter the World Heritage-listed village of Hongcun. See where the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was filmed including the iconic Moon Pond. Ride a bike through the surrounding villages. Sit under the banyan trees or observe people going about their daily lives. Spend the night in Hongcun.

DAY03:

HOONGCUN - TUNXI - HUANGSHAN
This small town is known for its manufacture of ink, one of the four treasures of Chinese study. Visit a small ink factory and learn about the art of calligraphy. Board a cable car and quickly ascend to the summit of Huangshan. The mountain is made up of 17 different peaks easily accessible by stone pathways. Discover the mountains that were the inspiration for many traditional Chinese paintings such as the Peak of Clarity and the Peak of the Jade Screen. Spend a night in a hotel on Huangshan’s summit.

DAY04:

HUANGSHAN - CHENGKAN
Wake up early and walk a short distance to see the sun rise over the ranges. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your hotel. Spend time find the perfect photograph as you walk to the highest point in the Huangshan range. Take a cable car down to the foot of the mountain. Drive to the airport for a flight to your next destination. Relax in the village of Chengkan, known for its distinctive Ming Dynasty houses. Spend the night in Chengkan.

DAY05:

CHENGKAN – TUNXI
Drive to the airport to catch a flight to your next destination.
